The Natural & Organic Mattress by Nolah
The Nolah Natural 11” mattress is an environmentally-friendly and hypoallergenic natural Talalay latex hybrid mattress.
Talalay latex, features natural and biodegradable ingredients that come from renewable sources and water-based raw materials: natural latex, air, and water. This mattress has seven luxurious layers of eco-conscious materials and is Oeko-Tex certified.
This GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) certified organic cotton cover ensures clean materials on our skin while we sleep as organic cotton is grown without pesticides, insecticides, herbicides, and GMOs.
Organic cotton is a wonderful breathable material making this great to sleep on.
Under the cover there is an added layer of GOTS Organic Wool for Extra Cooling and Breathability. The wool serves as a natural fire barrier while adding cooling and breathability.
The third layer features a 2" layer of natural Talalay latex that ensures optimal comfort for pain points and joints. Talalay latex is a great material for pressure relief, maximum breathability, and extreme resilience to ensure your mattress remains responsive over time.
The fourth layer features a Deep and Supportive Talalay Latex Transition Layer with a 1" layer of expertly engineered natural Talalay latex for full body support.
The next layer features Nolah's proprietary and patented 8" HDMax™️ Tri-Zone™️ support coils gives the Nolah Natural structure and strength. The zoned support coil system uses recycled steel which is great!
These supportive coils lay on an additional layer of cotton and organic wool to increase the durability and stability.
To further lengthen the mattress's lifespan, Nolah chose the most durable GOTS-certified organic cotton fabric they could find for the cover. The handles on the side of the mattress are an added bonus for easily moving the mattress around.
USA Made Mattress with Sustainable Materials
As stated above the Nolah Natural features quite a few sustainable materials including organic wool, organic cotton, recycled steel and natural latex.
To further their transparency Nolah Mattresses are made right here in America. Nolah has eight factories throughout the USA and all the materials used in their mattresses are also made in the USA.
Nolah Natural Mattress Review
Nolah was kind enough to gift us one of their Natural mattresses! Here are my thoughts…I’ve been loving it!
Mattress Set Up
The mattress arrived at our doorstep in a box. Setting up our Nolah Natural 11” mattress was really easy.
We took it out of the packaging and let it inflate. The handles on the sides were helpful in getting the mattress situated in place on our bed frame.
Sleeping on Nolah Natural
Thoughts after sleeping on the mattress for one month: Jake & I have loved sleeping on our Nolah Natural 11” mattress.
It is incredibly comfortable and we can sleep confidently knowing this mattress was made with eco-conscious materials.
I’m a side sleeper and Jake sleeps on his back and we’ve both been sleeping very comfortably on Nolah Natural. As this mattress is considered a luxury firm on Nolah’s firmness scale, this mattress is the perfect balance of soft and firm.
The amount of firmness allows this mattress to have amazing support. Oh and our dog Jimmie has been loving it too!
Thoughts after sleeping on this natural mattress for six months: After sleeping on the mattress about six months we decided we wanted a little extra cushion. I purchased Nolah’s mattress topper. This made the bed ideal still getting the support from the firm mattress, but adding a bit of extra cushion.
Thoughts after sleeping on Nolah Natural for two years: We still LOVE our mattress so much. It’s held up really well and we still think that the mattress & topper combo provides us with the ideal comfort for a goodnight sleep.
Nolah Squishy Pillow Review
As an added bonus we got a few Nolah Squishy Pillows. This Oeko-Tex certified pillow is free of toxins, harsh chemicals, and dyes. It also features a bamboo blend cover which is breathable and machine washable.
Honestly, I am someone who is incredibly picky about pillows and can’t sleep unless I have a pillow that is the right firmness. I LOVE this one. For me this pillow is the perfect balance of support and squish. It is firm, but soft and my new favorite pillow!
Is Nolah Worth It?
In my opinion Nolah is an amazing choice for an eco-conscious mattress, pillows, topper, and bedding. When I wake up in the morning my entire body feels rested. Since purchasing the topper, I have also purchased the bamboo sheets which are wonderful!
But you don’t have to take my word for it, Nolah has a 120 day mattress trial period on their mattresses. This gives consumers the chance to make sure they love their mattress. If a customer decides
If Nolah is not the right fit, returned mattresses are donated to local charities or recycled through local state programs. I really love that Nolah finds responsible solutions for returned products.
If you’re shopping for a new non-toxic mattress I highly recommend checking out Nolah! Conscious consumers can also discover responsibly made mattress toppers, sustainable sheets, natural kids mattresses, and more.
You can sleep confidently and have sweet dreams knowing your mattress was ethically made in the USA with eco-friendly materials.
