10 Better Places to Buy from Instead of Target & Walmart

The Target Boycott is going strong due to their due to their rollback on DEI.

But knowing where to shop instead can be a challenge.

Lucky for you I’ve been trying to be a more conscious consumer for about a decade and a huge part of my journey has been trying to purchase less from big name brands and support more socially responsible brands instead! I’m excited to share some alternatives with you.

One of the convenient things about Target is the ability to get so many different types of products at one place.

The list of shops below are more socially responsible alternatives that carry a wide range of goods and can hopefully make for a thoughtful and easy swap.

However, if you’re looking for more specialized small businesses to support consider checking out our guides 45 Black Owned Eco Online Shops, 25 BIPOC Owned Small Businesses, 50 Woman Owned Small Businesses to Shop Online, Indigenous Owned Small Business List, and AAPI Owned Small Business List.

And since most of these shops don’t sell clothing I’ve included some resources for that at the bottom of the post.
