Meet Liz Alig The Fashion Forward Ethical Clothing Brand

Liz Alig's founder, Elizabeth (Liz) was inspired to start a socially responsible brand of apparel after living in Kenya. Through her travels, Liz observed how consumer purchases directly impact smaller communities.

As Liz's conscious journey began to take off, she realized that even if she knew where and how the garment was made, knowing the origin of the fabric was another struggle. This inspired Liz to incorporate recycled materials into the launch of her clothing line.

Liz began partnering with co-ops abroad to sew dresses and create her own clothes through a transparent supply chain. This led to launch of her mindful clothing line, Liz Alig.

What Does Fair Trade Mean to Liz Alig?

As advocates for slow fashion and Fair Trade Federation members, Liz Alig ensures collaborating co-ops pay fair wages, creates a safe working environment, and value employees.

Liz Alig has partnerships with ten co-ops located in Central America and Southeast Asia.

The partnering co-ops go above and beyond by providing classes, programs, and additional resources to encourage the growth of women striving to uplift themselves out of poverty. To learn more about Liz Alig's incredible partners click here.

As a fashion forward woman on the go, one of my favorite features of Liz Alig dresses are the pockets! So practical!

Liz Alig Sustainable Dress Review

I have a couple Liz Alig dresses and I LOVE them! My new June Dress is great for summer. The recycled cotton and polyester blend is soft and comfortable.

This fabric is sourced from factories that typically discard excess fabric. But thankfully, the fabric was crafted into this stunning dress.

The fitted, sleeveless style is perfect for staying cool in the crazy Texas heat. I appreciate the pleated style of the skirt, adding an element of class to this summer time dress. The grey and white colors make this great for wearing during multiple seasons, perfect for a capsule style wardrobe.

The June Dress Made with Fair Trade Practices

My beautiful June Dress was made by artisans in Cambodia through Liz Alig's partnership with Phnom Penh.

Phnom Penh pays a fair wage, gives employees benefits, and provides more paid days off than most people receive in the states. I'm impressed with Liz Alig's initiative to create mindful apparel through innovative style.

I think the clothes we wear say a lot about us and reflect our values. I want to wear ethically made clothes that value humans. It's so cool that by wearing Liz Alig, we, as woman, can empower other women.

I encourage you to check out Liz Alig and consider wearing clothes that uplift others.
